May 19, 2008Spyware is one of the #1 causes of computer slowdowns, so get rid of it! Spyware is software that is installed onto your PC without your knowledge and runs in the background and takes partial control over your computer. This is why it must not only be removed, but prevented from being installed in the first place.
Microsoft included Windows Defender for free in Windows Vista. To run Windows Defender, do the following:
1. Click Start>All Programs>Windows Defender
2. Once the Windows Defender window pops up, click “Scan” at the top.
3. You are on your way to becoming spyware free!
